Compare your current life insurance contract against switching to Finary Life. It accounts for the tax impact of selling your existing assets and projects the break-even point.

What is Finary Life?

Finary Life is the commercial name under which Finary distributes the e-vie life insurance contract, underwritten by Generali Vie. You get access to over 700 unit-linked supports (ETFs, individual stocks, private equity, thematic funds), with 0.50% management fees on unit-linked supports and no entry, contribution or arbitrage fees. The contract is managed entirely online from your Finary space. The internal fees of the chosen supports apply on top and are detailed in the Key Information Document (KID).

Self-directed or managed investing

Finary Life offers two management modes. In self-directed mode, you build your own portfolio from the 700+ unit-linked supports and adjust your allocation whenever you want, with no arbitrage fees. In managed mode, you choose from three portfolios built with BlackRock's iShares ETFs, matched to your risk profile, with management delegated to the investment team.

The benefits of life insurance

Reduced taxation on capital gains after 8 years of holding. Easier estate transfer, with a 152,500 € allowance per designated beneficiary for premiums paid before age 70. Should the insurer default, your assets are covered by the guarantee fund up to 70,000 € per insured and per company. And your money is never locked: you keep control of your savings.

What's the difference between the euro fund and unit-linked supports (UC)?

The euro fund offers a capital guarantee, provided by the insurer, with a moderate return. Unit-linked supports (UC) are invested in the financial markets: higher potential returns, but a risk of capital loss. On Finary Life, you combine both pockets according to your allocation. Learn more about the euro fund.

What is the minimum amount to open a contract?

From 300 € on the first contribution, and 150 € with a monthly scheduled contribution. For later one-off contributions, the minimum is 300 €. These amounts apply to self-directed mode.

How long does it take to open a contract?

Subscription is 100% online in a few minutes. You sign electronically, Generali Vie validates your file, and the contract is active as soon as your first contribution is received.

Can I transfer my existing life insurance to Finary Life?

French law does not allow transferring a life insurance contract from one insurer to another without losing its tax seniority. However, you can open a new Finary Life contract alongside yours, or make a partial withdrawal from your existing contract to reinvest it in Finary Life.

Are my data and my savings secure?

Your assets are held by Generali Vie, an insurer supervised by the ACPR, with financial guarantees governed by the French Insurance Code. Finary SAS is registered with the ORIAS and is a member of the Chambre nationale des conseils en gestion de patrimoine. Your data is hosted in Europe and processed in line with the GDPR.

Can I switch from self-directed to managed mode?

For now, the management mode is chosen at subscription and cannot be changed on an existing contract. Switching between self-directed and managed mode on the same contract will be possible later; it's something we're working on.

What are the risks associated with Finary Life?

Investing in unit-linked supports carries a risk of capital loss: their value fluctuates up and down with the markets. The insurer commits to the number of units, not their value. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

The capital guarantee on euro funds is provided by the insurer and depends on its financial strength. In a severe systemic crisis, the French Sapin 2 law allows withdrawals to be temporarily limited (liquidity), without calling the guaranteed capital into question. Unit-linked supports are not guaranteed and carry a risk of capital loss.
